Job Description

Just off I-20 in the Financial Plaza district, our hotel is eight minutes from Shreveport Regional Airport. We offer shuttle service to and from the airport as well as restaurants within five miles of the hotel. Our Garden Grille serves breakfast and dinner, and our 24-hour Pavilion Pantry is always stocked with snacks and drinks.

The Hilton Garden Inn Shreveport is hiring a Bartender for our Food & Beverage Team.

To provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience for all hotel guests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    -Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes
    -Provide prompt, professional and courteous service to patrons.
    -Performs tableside buffet food service as required.
    -Maintains a clean and orderly workstation.
    -Cleans tables of all glasses, silver, china, etc. during the scheduled shift..
    -Completes all assigned side work throughout scheduled shift.
    -Greets and continually monitors to ensure quality guest satisfaction.
    -Informs supervisor of guest comments/complaints.
    -Assumes 100% responsibility for quality guests' experience
    -Take orders from guests and beverage orders from servers.
    -Present drink menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
    -Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
    -Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
    -Wash and sterilize glassware.
    -Prepare garnishes for drinks and replenish snacks for bar patrons.
    -Maintains bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
    -Clear and reset tables in bar area.
    -Present drink menus, make specific recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
    -Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
    -Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to bar supervisor.
    -Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies.
    -Assists in the set-up and break-down of tables when business demands are high.
    -Must wear required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
    -Performs other duties as assigned by management.
