Job Description


The Assistant Restaurant Manager of Yacht Club Pool will oversee the food and beverage service. The Assistant Manager will oversee all aspects of the restaurant and the execution of service. This includes the overseeing of payroll and budget, along with service standards, guest satisfaction, employee morale and production, and food service quality.


    -Daily and weekly exchange of information is imperative to the Yacht Club Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, as well as line level associates.
    -Daily recap of all restaurant activities regarding revenue, staffing, issues/concerns, weather, and amount of covers must be submitted at the end of a shift to Yacht Club Manager and Director of Food & Beverage.
    -Successfully maintain and execute all restaurant financials.
    -Must attend all Food and Beverage meetings and relay all information to fellow management.
    -Communicate with resort members/guests on needs and accumulate feedback.
    -Ensure the proper information on operation requirements, as well as execution, are properly delegated and distributed amongst the staff. Staff must be well informed on all areas of coverage and given the responsibility and power to accomplish company goals for a successful restaurant.
    -Assist with evaluation, job performance, and reporting weekly payroll.
    -Perform daily time keeping and tip reporting duties.
    -Assist with employee paperwork and proper filing.
    -Assist with supervising and training servers, bartenders and assisting on all daily/upcoming restaurant operations.
    -Inspect restaurant hallways, meeting rooms, store rooms and public areas.


    -Four year degree in Restaurant Management or related field, preferred.
    -Two years of resort restaurant management experience is required.
    -Requires a high degree of problem solving abilities.
    -Requires current state certification or licensing with Food Handlers and TABC .
    -Time keeping and tip reporting experience required.
    -Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint helpful.
    -Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.
    -Comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English .
